While leading discussion in ANT 401 Culture Theory a couple of years ago, I was deciding between using the word “problem” and “trouble” and spurted out “troublem”.  The students and I laughed and it has now become a term that I often use in place of either problem and trouble.  The plural form is “troublems”.

I have found that this word is entered in the Urban Dictionary, I do not take credit for the original creation of this compound.
