I have a tendency to create new words, mostly through blending, compounding, and portmanteau while teaching in the classroom as well as in my daily life. In addition to neologisms of my own, I also enjoy using the neologisms of others, especially of my former mentors and teachers. Several of my students have recommended that I start a blog with these “Hume-or-isms” to save them for posterity and share them with others, including future students.

In the near future, with sporadic additions, I will begin sharing short posts of my own and others (with attribution) neologisms

Stay tuned…
